Visual Processing Assessments

After a brain injury, many people notice something just feels “off” with their vision, even if their regular eye test says everything looks fine. That’s because it’s not always about how clearly you see, but how well your brain processes what you see. Visual processing assessments help uncover these hidden challenges. They look at how your eyes and brain work together to track movement, stay focused, read smoothly, judge distances, and make sense of your surroundings. If you’ve had a concussion or TBI and struggle with reading, balance, light sensitivity, or frequent eye strain, these tests can offer answers. They’re usually done by a neuro-optometrist or vision specialist and can lead to personalized treatments that make everyday tasks easier and more comfortable again.
